Fann Mountains, or shortly Fanns, is a unique mountain area known in ancient times as "Kuhistan". Kuhistan in Farsi means "Mountainous Country".
These days Fan Mountains area is a popular tourist destination and weekend spot with locals. It's also a great trekking and climbing destination.
The highest peaks in the region: Chimtarga (5.487 m), Chapdara (5.050 m), Bodkhona (5.138 m), Zamok (5.070 m), Maria (4.970 m), Mirali (5.120 m), and Zindon (4,800 m).
